Daily Schedule and Responsibilities
8:00 a.m.: Breakfast in Clubhouse and post Morning Rec sign. 8:30 a.m.: Begin maintenance at pool and beach, and organize materials for Morning Rec:
| Pool: Check the chlorine and PH levels, and record readings for Health Department inspection. Skim pool surface and vacuum if necessary. Tidy up the deck. Open and check the pool restrooms for cleanliness and supplies. |
| Beach: Check to see if all boats are at their moorings. If it has rained the night before, bilge pump the boats. Check the weather conditions and forecast for the day, and raise the appropriate weather conditions flag. Rake the sand, pick up trash, and remove any debris. |
| Clean and fill the kiddie pool at the beach. |
10:00 a.m.: Open the Den, the pool, and the beach. Start Morning Rec.
12:30 p.m.: Close pool and beach (except on Sundays, when both stay open until 1:00 p.m.). Tidy up pool area and lock both gates. Tie up the motorboats, put all beach equipment away and lock the boat house.
12:45 p.m.: Lunch in Clubhouse and post Afternoon Rec sign.
1:45 p.m.: Gather supplies and get organized for Afternoon Rec.
2:00 p.m.: Start afternoon activities:
| Re-open the pool (check chlorine and PH levels again, and record readings for Health Department inspection). |
| Re-open the beach; check all equipment and supplies, and scan the beach for trash. |
| Start Afternoon Rec |
5:30 p.m.: Close the pool and beach (except on Sundays, when they both stay open until 6:00 p.m.). The pool may remain open from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. for Adult Lap Swim ONLY.
| Pool: Tidy up deck, put away all equipment and lock both gates (or ask adults swimming laps to lock up when they leave). |
| Beach: Confirm that all resort children and boats are off the water for the day. Securely moor all boats and bring in the key to the crash boat. Pick up all trash and put away all equipment. Pull the aluminum boats up at least 15 feet onto the beach. Lock the boathouse door. |
| Empty the kiddie pool each afternoon before closing the beach. |
6:45 p.m.: Dinner in Clubhouse (except no dinner on Wednesday and Sunday evenings) and post Night Rec sign. On Fridays counselors must finish dinner in a timely manner in order to have enough time to set up for the Kiddie Dance.
8:00 p.m.: Begin Night Rec (except Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights).
9:00 p.m.: Finish Night Rec. Check and lock the Den door. Double-check pool and beach areas.
